| So what are Dock Dogs? Simply put; Dock Dogs is any kind
of dog that loves the water and playing catch or fetch. These dogs
are seen flying through the air off a scaffold into a pool when the
owner tosses their favorite toy over the pool. The athlete in this case
is the dog and even though some of the dogs are now considered
professional, they don’t have the same “attitude” of some of our fellow
human athletes…
DockDogs® is
the independent governing and sanctioning body for regional, national,
and international dock jumping performance sport for dogs.
DockDogs®
establishes the rules and standards of the sport, tracks and records
results, and promotes the growth of its athletes, Teams, events,
spectators, and sponsors. To that end,
DockDogs®
establishes and reviews, under committee direction,
DockDogs® Rules
and Policies - updated annually.
Dock Dogs are located on the East end of the Fairgrounds, near the
Blue Gate.
